Toccobird Scan & Archive
Privacy policy
Learn how Toccobird Scan & Archive handles local documents, OCR, device authentication, exports, backups, support emails and website visits.
Updated September 23, 20261. Scope & contact
This policy describes information handling for Toccobird Scan & Archive (Toccobird 扫描归档) and its product and support website. For privacy questions or support, email support@ioncreate.com and include the app name.
Documents stored locally in the app, support emails you choose to send, and technical information generated by website visits are separate sources of information, described below.
2. Local documents & processing
No app account is required. Scanned or imported originals, page images, recognized and corrected text, titles, people, categories, reference numbers, tags, notes and related document records are stored in the app’s library on your device. They support organization, search, export and restoration. Original files may contain personal information and file metadata already present in them.
Image processing, Chinese and English text recognition, automatic filing and in-app search take place on your device. The current app does not upload your documents or recognized content to a server we operate, and it does not provide a cloud library or automatic cloud sync. The current app does not integrate advertising, cross-app tracking or third-party behavioral analytics services.
Local preferences store applicable feature settings. The app’s privacy manifest declares UserDefaults access for its own preferences. System device backups, diagnostics and other system services depend on your system settings and the relevant service policies.
3. Permissions & authentication
The camera is used to scan paper documents. You select photos and files through system pickers and can manage applicable permissions in system Settings. Denying camera access affects scanning; it does not cause existing documents to be uploaded.
The app uses system LocalAuthentication with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode. It receives an authentication result, not face or fingerprint templates or your passcode. The app locks when it enters the background and remains locked if device authentication is unavailable.
4. Exporting, copying, sharing & backups
You initiate PDF exports, text copying, sharing and backups. Apps, file locations, cloud storage providers or other services you select may transfer content off your device and handle it under their own settings and policies. Copied review text is placed on the system clipboard for you to paste.
Backup files contain original files and document details for the selected documents or complete library. Complete library backups include Trash by default. Backups are currently unencrypted and are not protected by the app lock. Device authentication within the app does not password-protect exported files. Review file contents and choose trusted storage and recipients.
Device-level backups through iCloud or a computer depend on your system settings. They are not an app-provided cloud synchronization feature.
5. Keeping & deleting documents
You can edit, export, back up or delete local documents. Documents in Trash remain until you permanently delete them and can be restored beforehand. Permanent deletion removes the document and its revision history and cannot be undone on the device.
Deleting a document in the app does not automatically remove copies already exported, sent, saved to another service or included in device backups. Uninstalling generally removes the local app container, so save anything you need before uninstalling and manage external copies separately. We cannot remotely access or recover documents stored only on your device.
6. Support emails
When you email support@ioncreate.com, we receive your email address, message and any files you choose to attach, and use them to respond to and handle your request. This support information leaves your device. Send only what is needed to investigate, and remove unnecessary personal information or credentials first.
To ask about, correct or request deletion of information you have sent to support, contact the same email address. This contact channel cannot be used to operate the local document library on your device remotely.
7. Website visits
The product and support website presents information. It does not require an account or provide document uploads. Visiting the website does not allow it to read documents stored in the app’s local library.
Website hosting, content delivery and security services may process your IP address, requested URL, access time, browser information, and necessary access or error logs to deliver pages, maintain security and troubleshoot problems. This technical information is handled separately from local app documents.
These pages do not include advertising or third-party behavioral analytics scripts, or set advertising or analytics cookies. Website infrastructure may use necessary security cookies depending on its protection settings. You can manage cookies in your browser.
8. Policy updates
This page and its date will be updated when app features or information handling change. For questions about this policy, contact support@ioncreate.com.
